Autograph Letter Signed. Two pages, written on one octavo sheet of The Sixties Press stationery. Old folds else fine. With the mailing envelope, addressed in Bly's hand, present. Bly writes to Chametzky at the *Massachusetts Review*, thanking him for his kind words about a recent publication ("I'm glad you liked *Sixties* 9! It is not going to please the Library of Congress, I'm afraid!") Bly then compliments a section on "Cummings letters" (e.e.?) in the *Massachusetts Review* and passes on a bit of literary gossip: ".of course, it's all a bit complicated - he was a Birchite at the end of his life, I understand. His wife refused to allow any of his poems in *Poetry Reading Against the Vietnam War*, on the grounds he would definitely have been in favor of the war if he had been alive." Bly closes by discussing the possibility of a book of letters by Spanish and South American poets, passing along the names of a few people who might be able to help. A nice letter between two literary editors.
