Light foxing and moderate tanning to pages and free endpapers. More prominent to text block edges and frontispiece. Moderate cracking to gutters, exposing netting and causing some looseness to binding but pages remain attached; lighter to hinges. Noticeable stain to gutter between pages 32-33. Previous owner's inscription to title page. Detached frontis with heavily foxed tissue guard. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild staining, tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has slightly heavier tanning with visible splitting, fraying and crushing to ends. Moderate split to upper front joint. Slight bubbling to cloth on front board. Lettering remains bright and clear. Book has a slight forward lean.
