Treatment Of The Cruciate Ligaments Injuries

This book covers the treatment of cruciate ligament injuries, with a particular focus on arthroscopic techniques using rounded rectangular or oval shaped dilators. It also addresses combined injuries, such as posterolateral corner injuries and anterolateral ligament injuries. The book primarily discusses the causes of failure in anterior and posterior cruciate ligament surgeries, how to perform revision ACL and PCL reconstruction under various circumstances, the most common surgical mistakes, and the essential steps required to achieve successful outcomes. It also provides guidance on appropriate rehabilitation programs—especially PCL and posterolateral corner sling protocols for posterolateral rotatory instability of the knee—and explains the role of the meniscus in successful ACL and PCL reconstruction and revision. In addition, the book highlights new techniques in ACL and PCL reconstruction, including the use of rounded rectangular and oval shaped dilators, as well as surgical approaches involving the anterolateral ligament complex and the posterolateral ligament complex.
